Graduation Update - April 23, 2020
Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,
Grade 12 is an exciting and pivotal year for our students, which ends with the ultimate celebration of achievement - graduation! It’s a milestone in a young adult’s life - the cap and gown, walking across that stage, looking their very best at the graduation formal and celebrating with staff, classmates, family and friends. Our Grade 12 students look forward to their graduation all year and as educators, it gives us such great pride to celebrate this accomplishment together with our students.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we regret to inform you that the graduation ceremony for our school, which was scheduled for Friday, June 26 will be postponed until further notice.
The decision was a difficult one and is based on the Alberta Government’s restrictions on gatherings to comply with physical distancing, with the goal of limiting the spread of COVID-19.
We understand and recognize that graduation is an important milestone in a young adult’s life. It’s a milestone that is not only meaningful for our students, but also for their families and friends.
Graduation is not only a celebration of the hard work and dedication of students, but the start of the next chapter in their lives. We are looking at what we can do to recognize this great achievement by our students, while following guidelines set out by the Alberta Government.
Any graduation fees already paid will be reimbursed to families. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at 403-845-5313.
We appreciate your support and understanding during these challenging times.
“Fear not, I am with you; be not dismayed; I am your God. I will strengthen you, and help you, and uphold you with my right hand.” Isaiah 41:10
